As I’ve traveled, I have done so many tours…There is going to be a lot to share here.  Not only are they a great way to meet people as a solo traveler, but they are also  such a great way to get a snapshot of where you are and begin to learn about the local way of life, customs, and cultures.  This was a snorkeling tour that I took in Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand, that just happened to be one of my favorites.  I met an 18-year old on this tour, and we became fast friends (I am 45 for those of you who don’t know me yet).  It continues to amaze me how age is just a number out here.  No one cares.  This young woman and I had a connection before we even got on the boat…Of course, when we did figure ages out, we joked about how I could have been her super cool aunt, as opposed to her mother.  But throughout the beautiful day, we snorkeled, we marveled at the views from the boat, we hiked up a gruelingly large mountain to reach the top for one of the most amazing view points that I have ever seen, and we will always share that memory together.  It was special and we are still friends on social media (Hi Georgie! 😁).  Enjoy the beautiful pics, and know that this is just the beginning.
