Salt & Soul

An Albanian Riviera Cultural + Wellness Escape

Sea. Culture. Movement. Adventure. Connection.

Tirana • Orikum • Llogara Pass • Borsh • Butrint

THIS ISN’T YOUR TYPICAL RETREAT.

Adventure Into Something More.

Somewhere between the energy of Tirana, mountain roads, ancient ruins, turquoise water, quiet mornings, shared meals, and unexpected little moments along the way… something shifts.

This isn’t about escaping your life.
It’s about stepping more fully into it.

Through yoga, adventure, culture, meaningful conversation, rest, and the freedom to experience Albania beyond the usual tourist path, you’ll reconnect with the part of yourself that feels most alive.

What Your Days Might Look Like

This isn’t a retreat where every minute is scheduled. It’s a mix of movement, adventure, culture, connection, and enough space to actually enjoy where you are.

Morning Movement

Begin some days with yoga, gentle movement, or quiet reflection — by the sea, among ancient ruins, or wherever the journey takes us.

Adventure & Discovery

Hike to hidden beaches, explore ancient ruins, cruise the Riviera by boat, swim in impossibly clear water, and wind through mountain roads and coastal villages.

Connection & Culture

Share meals, stories, local traditions, laughter, and meaningful conversations with a tiny group — while getting to experience Albania beyond the surface.

OUR JOURNEY

Nine Days Through Albania

212 (1)-svg

This itinerary is designed to give us the best of Albania — culture, coast, adventure, history, movement, and plenty of space to enjoy the places we’re passing through. A few details may shift along the way, but this is the journey we’re building together.

Day 1 • Welcome to Albania

TIRANA

Arrive in Tirana and settle into Albania’s colorful, energetic capital. Once everyone is here, we’ll ease into the journey with a guided walking tour — getting our first taste of the city, its history, and the wonderfully unexpected mix that makes Tirana feel so alive.

This first day is about arriving, meeting the group, and settling into the adventure ahead.

Highlights: Airport transfer • Guided Tirana walk • First night together

Day 2 • Southbound

TIRANA → ARDENICA → APOLLONIA → ORIKUM

After breakfast, we leave Tirana behind and begin making our way toward the coast.

Along the way, we’ll stop at Ardenica Monastery and explore the ancient ruins of Apollonia with a guide before continuing south to Orikum, where the mountains begin to meet the sea.

Highlights: Ardenica Monastery • Apollonia Archaeological Park • Scenic drive south • Arrival on the Riviera

Day 3 • Into the Blue

ORIKUM

Today we take to the water for a private half-day boat adventure along the coast.

We’ll explore Sazan Island, Haxhi Ali Cave, and Saint Vasil Bay, with time to swim, soak up the views, and experience the Albanian Riviera from the sea.

Highlights: Private boat excursion • Sazan Island • Haxhi Ali Cave • Swimming • Saint Vasil Bay

Day 4 • Slow Down + Explore

ORIKUM

A slower day to enjoy where we are.

We’ll begin with movement or yoga, visit Orikum Archaeological Park, and leave plenty of room to relax by the sea, wander, swim, or simply do less.

Highlights: Morning movement • Orikum Archaeological Park • Beach time • Space to breathe

Day 5 • The Wild Coast

ORIKUM → LLOGARA PASS → GJIPE → BORSH

This is one of the big adventure days.

We’ll wind through the mountains toward Llogara Pass, stop for a local taste of yogurt, walnuts, and honey, take in the sweeping coastal views, then hike down toward Gjipe Beach for a swim before continuing south to Borsh.

Highlights: Llogara Pass • Local tasting • Gjipe hike • Hidden beach swim • Coastal road trip

Day 6 • Ancient Albania

BORSH → BUTRINT → BORSH

Today we head south to Butrint, one of Albania’s most fascinating archaeological sites.

We’ll spend time exploring the ruins, then leave room in the afternoon for a quieter local beach along the Ionian Sea if the group feels like it.

Highlights: Butrint Archaeological Park • Ancient history • Ionian coast • Optional beach afternoon

Day 7 • Borsh, Slowly

BORSH

We’ll begin the day with a sunrise or early-morning hike to Borsh Castle.

Then the rest of the day is yours.

Beach. Lunch. Nap. Swim. Wander. Read. Do nothing.

This is the spacious day in the middle of all the adventure.

Highlights: Borsh Castle • Sunrise views • Free day • Beach time • Rest

Day 8 • Back to Tirana

BORSH → TIRANA

After breakfast, we begin the journey back north to Tirana.

The drive gives us time to take in the changing landscape, reflect on the week, and slowly transition out of the Riviera before settling in for our final evening together.

Highlights: Scenic return drive • Final night in Tirana • Closing dinner/time together

Day 9 • Until Next Time

TIRANA

Our final morning together.

Depending on departure times, we’ll have a little space for breakfast, coffee, hugs, and one last “how did nine days go that fast?” before airport transfers begin.

Highlights: Final breakfast • Airport transfer • See you next adventure

The journey may shift slightly with the wind and sea—but the magic is guaranteed.

Meet Your Host

Hi, I’m Robyn.

I created Salt & Soul for people who want more than a typical vacation — people who want to experience a place deeply, move their bodies, connect with others, and come home feeling a little more alive.

Albania has become incredibly special to me. I’ve spent real time here exploring the coast, the cities, the mountain roads, the food, the culture, and the rhythm of everyday life — and this retreat is my way of sharing the Albania I’ve come to love.

As a yoga teacher, Reiki Level 3 practitioner, transformational travel coach, and lifelong explorer, I believe some of life’s biggest shifts happen when we step outside our routines and into the world.

My role isn’t to fill every minute. It’s to create the space for adventure, meaningful connection, movement, reflection, laughter, and the kinds of memories that stay with you long after the trip is over.

I’ll be there every step of the way so you can relax, feel supported, and simply enjoy the journey.

Come experience Albania with me. ✨

Tirana International Airport (TIA). Arrival and departure transfers during the official retreat dates are included.

Yes, I recommend bringing a lightweight travel mat if you have one. Since we’ll be moving between locations, something easy to pack will work best.

For travelers who want more than a resort vacation — people who love a mix of culture, movement, adventure, meaningful connection, beautiful places, and enough free time to actually enjoy where they are.

Absolutely. You do not need to know anyone before you arrive. With a maximum of just 6 guests, the retreat is intentionally small and designed to make connection feel natural.

Yoga and movement will be woven into the trip, but this is not a yoga-intensive retreat. Expect gentle practices, grounding, stretching, and reflection that support the adventure rather than dominate it.

There will be walking, uneven terrain, and a few hikes, including Gjipe Beach and Borsh Castle. You should feel comfortable being active, but this is not an extreme fitness trip.

Yes, Albania is generally considered a welcoming destination for travelers, and we’ll also have private transportation and local support throughout the itinerary.
